KGF: Chapter 2 is a 2022 Indian Kannada-language period action film[20] written and directed by Prashanth Neel, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under his Hombale Films banner. It serves as the direct sequel to KGF: Chapter 1 (2018), as well as the second installment in the KGF franchise. The film stars an ensemble cast of Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Prakash Raj, Achyuth Kumar, Rao Ramesh, Vasishta N. Simha, Ayyappa P. Sharma, Archana Jois, Saran Shakti, Easwari Rao, John Kokken, T. S. Nagabharana and Malavika Avinash. Produced on a budget of ₹100 crore, KGF: Chapter 2 was at the time of release the most expensive Kannada film ever made. Neel retained the technicians from its predecessor with Bhuvan Gowda handling the cinematography and Ravi Basrur composed the film score and songs. Dutt and Tandon joined the cast in early 2019, marking the former's Kannada film debut. Portions of the film were shot simultaneously with Chapter 1. Principal photography for the rest of the sequences commenced in March 2019, but was halted in March 2020 owing to the COVID-19 lockdown in India. Filming resumed five months later in August 2020 and was completed in December 2020. Locations included Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mysore and Kolar. KGF: Chapter 2 was theatrically released in India on 14 April 2022 in Kannada, along with dubbed versions in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi languages. It is also the first Kannada film to release in IMAX. The film received critical acclaim for its acting, action sequences, direction, and story and emotional weight and became one of the greatest and most popular films from Kannada Cinema. It recorded the fourth highest-opening day in India, set domestic opening day records in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam, and surpassed the lifetime gross of its predecessor in two days to become the highest-grossing Kannada film. With earnings of ₹1,190−1,250 crore globally,[21] KGF: Chapter 2 is the second highest grossing Indian film of 2022 worldwide, highest grossing film of 2022 in India, fifth highest-grossing Indian film worldwide, and the third highest-grossing film in India.
777 Charlie is a 2022 Indian Kannada-language adventure drama film written and directed by Kiranraj K. and produced by Paramvah Studios. It stars Charlie, a Labrador dog in the title role, and Rakshit Shetty alongside Sangeetha Sringeri, Raj B. Shetty, Danish Sait, Bobby Simha and Aniruddh Roy. The film follows the journey and bonding between a lonely factory worker and a stray Labrador dog. 777 Charlie was announced in September 2017. Principal photography took place from June 2018 to October 2021, with delays due to COVID-19 pandemic. The film was shot in various locations across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir. 777 Charlie had a limited theatrical release on 2 June 2022, and released in cinemas worldwide on 10 June 2022. The film received critical acclaim for its cast performances (particularly Rakshit Shetty and Charlie), writing, emotional weight and direction. With theatrical earnings of over ₹105 crore (US$12 million) globally,[6] 777 Charlie became the fifth highest-grossing Kannada film at the time of release. Among all the Kannada films released in June over the years, 777 Charlie is the highest-grossing and ranks among the top films in terms of opening week earnings. At the 69th National Film Awards, the film won the award for Best Feature Film In Kannada and four Karnataka State Film Awards for Second Best Film, Best Actor, Best Editing and Best Lyricist.
Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1 (transl. Mysterious
forest: Chapter 1) is a 2025 Indian Kannada-language mythological action
film film[6][7][8] written and directed by Rishab Shetty, and produced by
Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda under Hombale Films. The film stars
Rishab Shetty along with Jayaram, Rukmini Vasanth, and Gulshan Devaiah. A
prequel to the 2022 film Kantara, the story delves deeper into the origins
of the tradition and ancestral conflict introduced in the first
film.[9][10] Set in pre-colonial coastal Karnataka, the film explores the
ancient roots of the Buta Kola ritual and the lore and history explored in
the first film released in 2022. Like its predecessor, the prequel blends
regional folklore, spirituality, and action, continuing the saga of man's
relationship with nature and the divine.[11][12] Filming began in November
2023. The first look and teaser was released on 27 November 2023.[13][14]
The publicity poster was designed by Kaani Studio.[15][16] B. Ajaneesh
Loknath composed the soundtrack and background score. The film was
released on 2 October 2025, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra,
in standard, IMAX, D-Box, ICE, 4DX, Dolby Cinema and EPIQ formats. Like

of all time,[17] second-highest grossing Indian film of 2025,[18] highest
grossing Kannada film of 2025[19] and also ranks among highest-grossing
